The Teach SDGs Project highlights the interconnectedness of the SDGs and how local actions can have far-reaching impacts. For example:

  • Educating students (SDG 4) leads to a more informed community that can better address issues like climate change (SDG 13) and inequality (SDG 10).
  • Promoting peace and justice (SDG 16) in Mushin creates a safer environment where students can focus on their education and personal development.
  • Actions like tree planting and recycling (SDG 13) also improve public health (SDG 3) and create economic opportunities (SDG 8).
  • In Mushin, the well-being of the community is directly tied to these goals. As students learn and act on the SDGs, they contribute to a healthier, more peaceful, and sustainable environment, which in turn positively impacts their families and neighborhoods.

The Teach SDGs Project aims for long-lasting change by:

  • Developing Future Leaders: Students trained as SDG Ambassadors will continue to advocate for sustainable development beyond their school years, spreading knowledge and driving community efforts.
  • Creating a Ripple Effect: As students share their learning with their families and neighbors, the entire Mushin community becomes more conscious of the importance of sustainability and peace.
  • Contributing to Global Goals: By aligning local actions with the global SDG framework, Mushin becomes part of a worldwide movement towards achieving sustainable development by 2030.

The Teach SDGs Project by MushinToTheWorld Foundation is not just an educational initiative—it is a catalyst for community transformation. Through the project, public school pupils and secondary students in Mushin are empowered to lead the charge for a cleaner, fairer, and more sustainable world, starting from their own neighborhood. The future of Mushin and the world lies in the hands of these young changemakers, and through this project, they are prepared to make a lasting impact.

Our focus/objectives are specifically selected in line with the United Nation’s agreement on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by year 2030…
